Pianist. Advocate of undeservedly unknown composers.

Natalia Kazaryan creates programming of the future, where great works of the past meet soon-to become standard repertoire.

Welcome

I’m so happy that you are here, and I’m excited to share with you my passion and what drives me as an artist.

My traditional music upbringing has shaped my love and commitment to the music of Bach, Brahms, and Ravel. While I will always feature them and other greats, I am an advocate for works by women and underrepresented groups. For the last decade, I have commissioned new works and programmed underperformed composers like Grazyna Bacewicz, George Walker, and Vivian Fung to bring audiences something new. Now, I combine music from composers of all genders together, showcasing their most important compositions side-by-side with the best-known composers from earlier generations.

WASHINGTON DC RADIO BROADCAST

One of the highlights of last season was my performance at the National Orchestral Institute that featured Florence Price’s Piano Concerto in One Movement, conducted by James Ross. It was recorded and finally gets aired on WETA, the classical music radio station in DC!

Stream the performance on WETA’s Front Row Washington on Monday, April 4 at 9 PM ET.
